Summary
Hue does not collect, store, or share any personal information.
Hue is a single-player puzzle game that runs entirely on your device. It does not have an account system. It does not connect to any Ephemeral Studios server. It does not include analytics, advertising, or third-party tracking SDKs.
What stays on your device
The app uses your device's local storage (shared_preferences) to remember:
- Whether you have completed onboarding.
- Your current daily-puzzle streak count and the date of your last play.
- Your settings: sound on/off, color-blind mode on/off, text size.
- The most recent puzzle's submitted result, so the result screen survives a relaunch.
This information never leaves your device. It is removed when you uninstall the app.
What Hue does not do
- No advertising.
- No in-app purchases.
- No accounts, sign-in, email, or username.
- No analytics, telemetry, or crash reporting.
- No location, camera, microphone, or contacts access.
- No push notifications.
- No third-party SDKs that collect data.
Sharing a result card
When you tap the share button on the result screen, your device's standard share sheet opens. Hue hands the share sheet a small PNG image of your result card. We do not see what you do with it after that. The recipient app (Messages, Mail, Slack, etc.) is governed by its own privacy policy.
Children's privacy
Hue does not knowingly collect any data from any user, including children. The app is rated for ages 13+ on the Play Store solely as a content/audience choice; the privacy posture is the same for all ages.
Changes to this policy
If a future version of Hue ever adds anything that collects data — for example, optional cloud sync of your streak — this policy will be updated before that release ships, and the change will be summarized in the Play Store release notes for that version.
